We hatched a few of these beauties this year and actually just hatched a 4th two days ago! I am wondering how on earth do you tell the male from female on these? Will he have a larger comb or do I pretty much have to wait until he starts crowing?

can mosaic chickens also have red combs? I have two that are blue and one that has a bright red comb....wondering if maybe it isn't a mosaic?

Yes, they can totally have red combs. They are fibro melanistic birds, but they can have red combs, totally.

hey thanks for the reply. Turns out my red comb one is also a rooster now question is....will his offspring produce red comb if bred with regular blue?
