mother hen turning on her offspring!!!

All of a sudden my bantam hen has decided she doesn't like one of her "kids". They are about three weeks old. She chases it all over the pen trying to peck it. Won't let it eat or drink or come near her or the other chicks. So I separated it from the flock. But what would cause this? They are living in a very large chicken tractor.....plenty of space for everyone. I'm flabbergasted!!

Very good question. Is the chick a different color or breed?

She hatched them........most are black, two are same color as she is. (multi colored) She has singled out a black one and constantly chases it. Weirdest thing. There's nothing wrong with the chick.....so I have no idea why she would turn on it.
