Mother-in-law learns lesson.

Mine isn't truly a mother-in-law yet, but she's evil enough to be one. She's nice most of the time, but she gets in a mood and says stuff and she's really lucky that I don't say or do what I'm thinking about! The thing that really put her on my bad side, when she told me I needed to stick up for her (she had been nagging my bf and he told her to lay off) and when I said that it was between her and him, she said:

"Well, his old girlfriend used to."

I looked at her and counted to 10. :thun The funny thing is, my bf has told me before that his ex and his mom didn't like each other. She was just trying to be mean. Ah, but her time is coming!

All I can say is....

I moved this out to the Me My Chickens and My Family forum, since it looks like it is turning into a good thread on mothers-in-law.

Oh my, I could fill two full pages on my MIL. I can't do anything right. Nor can my hubby. She was banned from our house for a year and a half, but let her back in from guilt. I would NEVER go to ANYONES house and say the things she says. When she calls on the phone I tell my DH to get it and he says no, you get it. Thank goodness for answering machines.

My MIL is wonderful, very kind and generous, but does not understand life in the country or with animals. My husband is her only child and she has lived in San Francisco most of her life. She simply cannot understand why my house is not cleaner even with three large, hairy dogs, four cats and one child (with his multitude of friends who practically live here) running in and out of the house constantly. After one visit, as I was driving her home, we were talking about how much driving I did taking our son to school and I commented that once he went to HS I would have about an extra three hours in my day and "what would I do with all that extra time!" Her comment - "Maybe you could spend a little more time cleaning the house"

I briefly thought about pushing her out of the car, but I just laughed and replied "Yeah, I guess that's a possiblity - not likely - but a possibility". Like I said, she's wonderful, but sometimes she has her moments!

lizardz-I would have waited til I got to the top of a hill and then PUSHED her out!!! My MIL is gone now~so I can laugh completely at all of ya'll! My SIL thought she could take her mother's place~boy did I set her straight quickly! She tried making a comment about us having more kids. She only has one and we have 3. So to her we have too many. None of her business. Well anyways she knows I had my tubes tied! She just wanted to be ugly to me. I'm not sure what I said to her, blinding moment in my life, but she backed out of our home with her hand across her mouth! It felt so good. I think I may have let loose on her because of all the comments her mother had made to us about our choice of how many kids we wanted to have. Oh well~it still felt good!!!!
