Mottled Houdan - 8 weeks

Hey all

This was my sons choice this year to expand his interesting flock of crested or rare birds, a mottled houdan.

I'm guessing it is similar to a polish's hat in terms of sexing which we know well, but what I can find is misleading me.

I told him today that it was without a doubt a cockerel and hoping for some folks to affirm me and my parental integrity

Also, for your enjoyment, had to mix in a shot of this golden laced polish pullet's first spring rain day here in the high desert! Sums up most of my Monday's.
