Can there be red mottled Orpingtons??
Is there a possible way to make that happen?
Yes, breed Red to Mottled, then breed the resulting offspring together.
Selective breeding would eventually yield a Red Mottled Orp.

Genetic question: what kind of results would one get from breeding mottleds to cuckoo orps? Just curious. Seems like it would make a mess but I just have to ask lol
I've started my own line of mottled orpingtons! By pure accident of course. Buff orpington mom and mottled java dad! I know I will now have to breed babies to father, but my chicks are adorable and look exactly like mottled orpington chicks should!
Hefner patrolling the yard and keeping watch on his ladies. First day of sunshine we've had in weeks and the chickens are loving it.
My Huckleberry looks a lot like your Hefner. Huckleberry also has the black streaks on his comb. I am new to raising chickens & don't have a clue what that is. Could you tell me? Thank you.
What color are the bottoms of her feet?
