 Indeed   Though it'll be at least 2 years closer to 3 or 4 years before those have fruit.

Yes, let me see if I can find a picture:

My squash has been making these flowers for a while, and just recently started making a different flower. I don't know which flowers are male and which are female though.

YAY!!! I feel like yelling and dancing!! The hottest part of August is going away! (Slowly) Today it was 105 degrees, tomorrow only 101! Still hot but it goes downward from here!

My squash has been making these flowers for a while, and just recently started making a different flower. I don't know which flowers are male and which are female though.

Yup!

Oh nice! Ok A male flower will look something like this



A female will have a swollen area that looks sort of like what the fruit will look like

See the difference?

I don't know how you survive in that heat! Our hottest day this year was 93 and I hated it!

I hate it too. I don't know how I'm not obese because I have to stay inside 80% of the time. It's even hot at night. (88 degrees) Plus dry season in the summer does not help a bit. One of these days I'll hopefully get to Wisconsin or Alaska!

Wisconsin is nice, some of the people ain't too friendly though

Yes, I see the difference. I now believe my squash has only made 2 female flowers and the rest have been male flowers.
