Yes, I see the difference.

I now believe my squash has only made 2 female flowers and the rest have been male flowers.

They start off with male flowers, once the first female flower is produced it'll be a mix of both

Ah, thanks for the help Dan! This is the first time I've ever grown squash, my grandma used to do it but I never paid much attention until harvest time.
