Hey guys! Sorry I disappeared for so long without warning. My family and I just got back from Texas. My uncle ended up having a horrible case of pancreatitis. After his second surgery things seemed to be going well and his pancreas actually didn’t look bad. As the doctor was telling my aunt that my uncle would probably recover, sirens went off and a code blue happened. My uncle died that night. It was extremely tragic. He was only 36 years old and he has a 12 year old son.

The funeral was very well done and very simple, however about 350 people showed up! The funeral home had people lined up all the way out the doors! It doesn't surprise me though. My uncle was a very rare man. He brought joy to everyone he met. He was selfless and truly loved unconditionally. I am still in shock that he is gone. I cannot imagine the pain my aunt and cousin are going through. Loss is a part of life but I know that God’s plan never ceases to occur and always ends in good. And I also know that I’ll see my uncle again and, until then, I hope to touch people and live life to the fullest just as he did.

:hugs :hugs I'm really sorry, Sarah. :(

:hugs :hugs Sarah I'm so sorry to hear that he died :hugs

I'm sorry:hugs :hugs

Sorry to hear that he died. :hugs :hugs

Sounds like he was an amazing man. Judging by how you described him, he really did sound rare! You won't come across many people like him.

I'm sorry Sara, It's horrible that he's left behind his twelve year old son, it must be really hard for you all right now. I'm not the best with things like this, But I hope you know I'm genuinely sorry :hugs

Thank you all. :hugs  I appreciate your support.

Some days are certainly harder than others. Please don't feel offended if I leave BYC for long periods, or if I just start venting for no reason or won't shut up, or am just the opposite and don't talk much at all. I love you all and really appreciate having friends who I can talk to about life and such.:hugs
We were beginning to worry about you being gone for so long. I can certainly understand how you feel. One year, my uncle, and two grandfathers that I loved dearly all passed away. It was hard. Not just for me, but everyone in the family. I even fell behind a grade in schoolwork and had to repeat it. I would've graduated at age 16 had I not repeated that grade. I was a grade ahead already. I felt horrible.... quit playing violin... something I loved and just sort of shut down. Thanks to close friends, I returned to myself and eventually got back to playing violin.

Hey, sorry that happened to you CL :hugs
thanks. :hugs I'm just happy that it is in the past. It was a while back now. I actually think the break from violin helped me to improve though. :/

Weird.. I felt the same way about my guitar. I just couldn't play an F, and then I didn't play it for four months, I tried again last night and found it easy.. who knows.

I suck at sight reading music, but give me a song to play by ear and I'll be playing along with it in minutes!
Usually I don't pick which songs I play. This might sound nuts, but God gives me songs to play. If I don't get the hint, He'll play that song several times on the radio or give me a devotional with the words or title of that song in it. He's constantly giving me new songs. Sometimes I'll be learning 5-10 songs all at once! If I plan my own song to play, He makes it painful and hard to play every song except for the one HE wants me to do. Usually I listen and play the song that seems easiest to play and it'll match right up with the sermon or the rest of the church service. It may seem weird, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I believe music is meant to worship God. I do play some classical too, and dont have anything against the other genres, but I do love my Christian contemporary music :p

That's really awesome! My sister can play piano and violin by ear.
