Anyone else?Okay folks, I need help. I'm attempting to write a novel. (Yeeeaah...) I want to know what all of your favorite features of a book are? Are they character development? Plot and adventure? Sudden surprises or unexpected endings? So not necessarily a specific genre of writing, but rather what you look for in a book.![]()
Thank you, thank you, thank you!![]()

Yes ^ Reveal the characters personalities through their words and actions, not through a list.Yus.
One thing I would definitely try to avoid, if I were you, is repeating things. If it's repetitive, it's boring.
Also, don't introduce all if the characters at once, or even put a lot if details about them in at first. That's just confusing. Spread it out.
My favourite things in books are plot twists at unexpected moments. You want a lot of different plot twists you can use and such, but don't throw them all in at once, otherwise it's overwhelming.
Last piece of advice I can give is: Don't make it like other books. Make it unique to you.
And, well, I don't really know what else. XD XD
