That's cold! Chickens can get frostbite if it's any degree below 32 (Fahrenheit). I'm worried about my roosters though, they are all single combed and will be very susceptible to frostbite :/ Since it got down to 19 degrees and has been snowing, I need to keep an eye on them.

It gets pretty COLD up here. Jackie has a huge comb so shes the one I always worry about getting frostbite. All my other chickens have little combs. I hope your roosters don't get frostbite.

I put a mixture of Vasaline and aloe on Jackie's comb. I sure hope it helps.
