How's Jill? She isn't sneaking around is she?
She's been good! She was begging me for treats today, typical Jill.

Nah. It ain't late.if I ever speak like that in real life, slap me.
I speak like that. *raises eyebrow*
I am very happy. I just saw my little White Leghorn (14 weeks) sitting on the nest box. Her momma (a BLRW) was sitting in the other one. All the other chicks (well, I consider them chicks anyway. They are younger than the rest of the hens) were sitting on the roosting bar watching them. I opened the egg door to collect the eggs that have already been layed, and she ran off the nest. I came back a little later, and found her in the same nest box as her mom, sitting on her momma. I don't think she is close to laying, but it is still exciting. Her comb and waddle are really undeveloped, but I can fit 2 fingers between her pelvic bones, so who knows? She wouldn't squat for me, as she is very unfriendly with humans. Runs as far away as possible. She does not see me as her rooster. I just wanted to share my excitement, even though it probably doesn't mean anything.I hope it does though!
