My best friend's brother aka my brother's best friend aka my adopted brother aka the only boy I've had in my life ever since I was born, is leaving for the air force tonight. He won't be home for 4 years!!!

All we can do is write letters and possibly talk to him on the phone occasionlly. He will be isolated from contact for a while. His training will be intense. Last year, 125 people joined the school he is going to and only 8 graduated. That's how hard it is physically and mentally. Luckily though, he won't be fighting on the front lines or be going into battle. There was a goodbye party for him this afternoon. Even though he and I have never really been super close, I still feel like sobbing. I'll miss his beaming face, the way he teases me and the way he lights up about his family, faith and passions.

Have a GIANT hug.. I am so sorry. I can't imagine..

Thanks! I studied some different eye tutorials on Pinterest, which helped me with shading.

You can draw really well though! I'm envious of your horse drawings, they're so good. I usually have trouble with horse proportions.
