My sister got her ears done in Claire's too, but she ended up getting an infection. It looked horrible, yeesh, really put me off.
I had guessed they wouldn't use the gun for belly button piercings, what would they do, shoot you in the stomach with it?Don't think I like the sound of a hollow needle much either though.
Clairés did me wrong, twice. Finally just went to a tattoo parlor for my ears, but I still have trouble sometimes. I have to have earrings in 24/7 otherwise they start closing a bit :/ On the verge of TMI, the hollow needle removes a bit of skin so the skin around the peircing doesn't try to close. The gun that all the mall stores use just puncture the skin, so it's always trying to heal.
