I know! Nobody knows how to take or these little chicks! Sometimes they leave them outside or thy just let them wander around the house and they die! It's incredibly sad. It's making me tear up. Maybe one day people will realize how cruel they are being to these poor little chicks and battery hens. We can save these chickens, one step at a time.Great topic!!!!!!!!
That is my biggest peeve- people who buy chicks as Easter gifts just for the cute factor!
The percentages of those excess unwanted chicks and rabbits abandoned in the wild typically a week after Easter is over 76%.....- And people conclude their motives as right with, "Oh, it'll be okay. We're setting it free!"
I COULD RANT ALL DAY LONG ABOIT THIS!!!!!
And this is absolutely why I refuse to sell chicks in the month of April and campaign locally for others not to do as well.
Actually, in the city of Guelph (a city near me), they are renting chickens out to people! I think it's such a great idea for people to know what chickens are really like.
