Mountain Peeps's Chat Thread...Continued!

One of my blue eggs that I couldn't see through pipped this morning. :yesss: I had to get the others out though so I'm hoping I didn't shrink wrap it. :fl :fl :fl :fl I did bump up the humidity before opening the bator so I guess will see how it goes.

One of the earlier hatched chicks.

I think one might have a muff. My boys have amazing temperament.
Oh I want a new roo so bad. I'm very picky about temperament. BUT sis is picky about breed. She wants another orp - i do too

They're so gentle with the hens!

I know.

My sister is picky about temperament too, ours have never even thought about attacking people.

Lol, I had an orp, it died at about 6 weeks old.
Oh geez. I'm picky about temperment, but - okay here comes a shortish story. Yeah, it's pretty short.
All my siblings loved roos - until THIS GUY showed up.

Evil Duke. He was mean mean mean!!! I could be out in the middle of our 5 acres and start calling him an he would come running - and kick me all the way back to the house

I was too young/inexperienced in chicken-ese to differentiate a great roo from a bad roo. Arrow, the amazing buff orp roo that I miss so much, was pretty mean for awhile. MAN could he kick. Then we got rid of the other two really stupid roos who were rough with the hens, he became amazing.

That's him and his wife, Banana Smoothie.
