Might want to link them a few posts about integration to help them along. The fenced mini run you posted should work fine within an existing run, for the birds to begin the see but don't touch part of integration.
If these are really going to become their birds, don't know how realistic it is to expect to have say over flock management decisions, especially since you're moving a distance away and can't help out if they were to need it. It may turn out that some birds need to be sold (or dinner) in order for things to work out with the new joint flock. Have they ever managed roosters? Are your roosters well behaved or have you had any aggression issues?
