Its because they're being driven out of their natural habitats. Humans are encroaching on their natural spaces. Human waste is replacing their natural diets. Where else do they have to go? So now that we've moved into their homes and provided them with the equivalent of birdie junkfood, where else are they supposed to go. It kinda reminds me of what we did to native americans and then we wonder why they have such a high incidence of alcoholism and spousal abuse. Humans can sometimes disgust me in their lack of empathy.

Yes, I have seen pidgeons everywhere. That's what peregrine falcons were reintroduced to the city for.

War is not the answer, only Love can conquer bird poo.

P.S. Texas man, that would be I.Q. woman, not man.
P.S. IQ woman... I'm a Texas woman, not man. - *parry and thrust*

So... people are the problem? Maybe we should introduce lions into the city to handle this?? - *smh*

What fun this banter is!
And it's fine by me... I don't live in the city.

*adding lions to the list of things to shoot if they come in my yard* -snickers

I dont live in the city either...i moved away from people for a reason! I dislike people and love animals.

We just found a huge gopher snake in our yard 3.5 feet . The son thought it would be cool so caught it and put in in a tub, Covered it with the mesh we use for our quail which is 1/2 x 1 1/4 inch sq. hard ware cloth type. Placed the tub under a tree with a view from the kitchen window. When I was doing dishes I looked out and could not believe I saw him so stretched out that he was squeezing out through that tiny wire for escape. If he is seen again he will be relocated down the road 10 miles or so!

I live in Arizona and I kill only the rattlers that come into the farm and house area. Only happened once. All other snakes are good and help keep the rattlers out. If I saw this snake that is on the first post I would just catch him and remove him from the hen house. That might scare him enough to keep away but if not he does deserve to live for he does more good then harm.
