Mr or Ms Easter Egger? - New Pictures, but same question

Thank you both. I am so hoping they are both girls. Not sure if the toddler could take another trip back to the farm to drop off a chicken. She still brings it up and asks about Matilda every time she hears or sees a rooster.

And thank you Guitarists for the compliment. Lulu was a horrendously homely chick, but is really turning into a pretty little hen (I hope).

It is hard to tell from pics at this point, but if you take a feather from the neck and place it on a white piece of paper, a female will have round tip on the neck feathers, a male will have pointed tip on the neck feathers and they will also be narrower.
It is hard to go by the combs especially in EE's as they might not necessarily all have a pea comb, which is what they are supposed to have.

Oh snap! I was really hoping Lulu just really like pink and was sporting it a little early. I'll check neck feathers tonight. Seriously, some chicken sexer needs to find a new career if Lulu is a boy. That would make two for five!

So Jean, do you think Lulu is a boy because of the pink comb? The comb got me a wondering and the upright tail feathers made me keep wondering. Omlet has a much flatter tail and no pink in the comb.

I am going to have a tougher time if I have to bring Lulu back to the farm than I did with Matilda. Lulu is just so sweet and mellow and most likely will end up in a pot. Lots of EE birds around here, whereas Matilda being a Welsummer helped him stay out of the pot. Ugh.

Still hoping. Any more tips to help determine are greatly appreciated.

Hm, I think "Lulu" is a bit too young to have pointy hackle feathers yet, so one cannot go by that yet....
Although Comparing her with my 2 current youngsters I would say "Lulu" is a "Lou".
Here is a pic of my 2 ameraucana cockerals, I am 100% sure that both are boys. They are the same age, but the less feathered one had a near death experience as a chick and has been a bit slow with development.

Thank you, but darn it. Any thoughts on how much longer until I can figure out how to spell Lulu/Loulou's name?

How old is your chick Lulu? I have 6 week olds and they don't have any red yet. These are 5-wk pix but they still look just the same at 6 weeks.

Speaking of adorable chicks! Too cute. Lulou is about 5 1/2 weeks, give or take. Pink is not my favorite color.
