Does anybody know what's going on my girl? This started several months ago but I thought it was bc she was going thru a molt but now she's got a spot on her chest. I've treated the coop for mites/lice & there are 13 other chickas that r fine & recently molted normally as she did too everywhere except her butt & now chest. Just to note she's the top girl in charge & acts like nothing is wrong but this is my 1st experience with this so thanks in advance.

I'll have to do some research on that vent gleet I've never heard of that. I'd suspect being picked on too but I've sat & watched & she runs the roost. Is vent gleet serious?
Not sure, I’m not good with chicken feather issues. I do know that vent gleet has to do with missing feathers in the butt/tail area. I would wait for help from another member. Try tagging someone who might be able to help?

Apply the Nu-Stock as mentioned by @Wyorp Rock in the above thread. Shake the tube well and wear disposable gloves when applying it. It will heal affected areas and prevent picking and pecking.

I think i found out what's wrong. It makes sense bc she's the top dog in the pecking order & the others don't peck her.

My barred rock went through the exact same thing, though not as severe. Still not sure what it is, but she has since fully recovered to her regular fluffy butt self!
