Nope, no lava.

It's about 350 miles, I think from Redoubt to Denali... that's a lot of ash!

I hope so too...

I'm all torn up after wrangling chickens, bunnies and pheasants into secure quarters. I had to toss my 10 4-month old ameraucana chicks in the layer coop so I can close them up... NOBODY is happy in there. Now I have to try to get a dozen chukars in there too...

. We've still got water, and gas... ashfall expected in the next 1-3 hours...


Erin, I heard you guys got DUMPED on with the snow this week... WTH?!? You guys hanging tough, too?

Can you get pictures? Would the ashfall be noticeable in them? Or are you too busy packing up everyone?

I can't see anything right now... it's overcast and trying to snow/rain.
There are pictures on the AVO website, though...

Back to it... I've got everyone ready to go inside at the first sign of ash... I'm going to have a bunch of unhappy birds... wouldn't be surprised if I lose a couple due to fighting, but it can't be helped...
