Mucus and white lesions in mouth, please help

Thank you both @Wyorp Rock and @casportpony for asking after him.

The mucus does seem to be less, there is no smell now and no new lesions. The white lesions are still there but fading I think. I wouldn’t say his breathing is 100% yet though.

He has had a good day with lots of crowing, chasing after his girls and strutting in front of his son who hatched earlier this summer and is now ‘of age’ and wants girls. It was King Henry not showing his son he was the king around here that alerted me that he wasn’t well in the first place.

I’m cautiously optimistic about him and hope I got whatever he has in time. I am just so sorry that I wasted a week treating him for thrush but I didn’t want to give him antibiotics in case it was thrush and I made it worse.

Thank you for the advice regarding the warm compress and tweezers. I will try that. Do I need to use the hydrogen peroxide anymore?

Sounds like he is improving a little!!
You may want to use the Hydrogen Peroxide to help bubble up anything after you've tried to get the gunk out. Only use like 1-2drops.

Thank you for the update, I hope he starts feeling much much better. Please keep us posted.

He’s had a good day today. He pulled up worms, did lots of crowing and actually chased his son away from his girls. It’s the first time he looked like he would get in a fight since he became ill.

I think his mouth looks much better and I finally managed to get the yellow gunk out of his ears, yay! I just hope it doesn’t come back. I will post updated photos.

He’s had 3 and a half days of medicine now and I’m so pleased he’s showing signs of starting to feeling better. I can’t thank you all enough for the advice you’ve given me.

He's looking better!
Hopefully he will continue to recover and you won't have any more problems.
Thanks for the update and photos:)

Another good day for him. No mucus in his mouth and the white lesions seem to have gone as well. No more gunk in his ears either.

He’s run around, eaten well and even went on top of one the ladies to do his business.

He’s had 5 and a half says of treatment and I’ve now run out of the metronidazole tablets and I don’t know if I need to order any more. Do you think his problem was bacterial as he responded so quickly or should I still treat for canker? The metronidazole box said to treat for 5 days and I don’t know if I need to continue it for longer.

And for how much longer do you advise I carry on with the baytril?

He seems fine now but I don’t want him to regress.

Glad to hear that he is feeling so much better!

All the information I have on Metronidazale says to give for 5 days, so you're good there.

For Baytril I have 3-5days, but let's see what @casportpony says:)

Thank you both! I won’t give him any more meds and will just watch and wait to see if the symptoms come back. He will be pleased not to have anymore stuff put down his beak that’s for sure!

I really am so very grateful that you not only gave me advice when I needed it but that you kept checking up on him every day. I was feeling so helpless but thanks to you I had a treatment plan and support. I will update next week on his progress and hopefully he will still be well! Thank you so much once again.
