Multiple symptoms: Water out of mouth after drinking, tired, bubbles in eyes, lice

The dosing for chickens is on the bottle and I have given it to them before. I’m just a bit worried about giving her more medication on top of the other. I did take a fecal sample in this morning so hopefully they will get back to me quickly.

I'm not sure when I will hear back about the fecal sample. They said that it might be up to a week eeek.

Should I try the Piperazine for roundworms even though I haven't heard back about the sample? Is it too much medication if they have their second fluralaner BRAVECTO treatment on Tuesday.

She is going downhill a bit. The weather has cooled off and she seems to have less lice! But she has stopped eating the mushed pellets and only wants to have scrambled eggs and meal worms. She is still drinking. Any other suggestions? I don't know what to do anymore :(

You can try the Piperazine and see if that helps. If she has a large worm load...
Interesting it will take that long to get the fecal float results back.

Likely she's having reproductive issues as the main cause of her problems. Unfortunately, with these conditions the hen can be weakened and it allows other things like lice/mites, worms, etc. to bring them down further.

Ok thank you so much! That makes sense. Her sister seems totally fine at the moment and never had the same lice problem.

The socks one’s poops have been getting more white and mucousy with less good looking contents. She’s not eating as much.

I wanted to give you an update :)

The fecal float came back quickly and showed that she has a capillaria species of worms. The vet prescribed Safe-Guard to be given once now and once in 2 weeks. I gave it to both my hens right away last night and the sick one ate a little more today but still looks tired. I also gave the second dose of BRAVECTO today and they seem to be managing both alright.

Morning! I checked her crop this morning and it was completely flat. I couldn’t feel anything in there. She ate some mushy food this morning and I’ve seen 1 normal poop! She is still having water come back out her mouth when drinking. It fell on my foot ha ha and it’s hot and had bits of food in it.
You need to do her a flasing and add few drops of apple vinegar, mine was doing same

What dose of Safeguard did the vet give you?

Generally for Capillary worms Safeguard (Fenbendazole) is given once a day for 5 days in a row.
