We ordered some baby chicks from MurrayMcMurray and all the breeds that we ordered are accounted for except for this one: Any ideas? These are the best pictures I have.

I am EXTREMELY bad at telling between breeds.

The only black chick breeds I know are Barred ROcks, black cochins and black stars.

I thought it was a Barred Rock, but was unsure. We ordered 2 Black Australorps, 4 Araucanas, 2 Marans, 2 Polish, and 2 Colombian Wyandottes. We only received 3 Araucanas and this surprise chick.

Quote:Agreed. Cuckoo marans look a lot like barred rocks, but they have pink legs - barred rocks have yellow legs.
