Lilac is chocolate/silver, right? I assumed he was lavender because every duck in his flock was the same color, but I guess lilac would also breed true.

Lavenders are solid and smooth in color. They do lighten but will not have tan/brown tones.Okay. When we crossed this drake with a Black&white, they were all black&white. Crossed with the chocolate pied, they were all black as babies but now look barred as juvis (I'll go take a picture in a sec). It seems odd to me that we would get no blues or chocolates in those two crosses. You don't think he's a lavender that's lightened up in the sun? We live in AZ, we get a lot of sun fading.
