I thought that was odd as well. I have never personally had a duck fly away. I had a couple go to the pond one night. Something killed them that night. No chance to propagate and cause trouble there.

Another case of big brother taking our rights away. Many people own and raise scovies for pleasure as well as meat and eggs. Don't bother with your "representatives", they will ignore you. They have their agenda and nothing will deter them.

Quail_Antwerp: Federal law supersedes state and local law. That is the problem with the current administration, they want to disregard our Constitution and take away states right to make their own laws.

You can request that article. It falls under the freedom of information act. If one of you articulate people on here would like to investigate it further this lady is usually eager for a story. Get all your ducks in a row & send her an Email. She works hard for the public's rite to know, & gives it national attention. Her reporting has made real changes....I don't live in Texas, but I know Muscovy don't run wild in NY. I have friends that live to duck hunt. Duck harvest #'s of each species have to be reported to the department of fish & wild life with in 24 hours. I wonder how many Muscovy's have been reported harvested by hunting. That's how they count the population numbers after all.
