Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Hi there! I`ve got some new ducks. My wish of having a blue duck came true! It`s a little girl, about 7 weeks old. When she came here i found out she had worms. I went to the vet and took care of it. Now she no longer has worms but a much bigger problem has now begun. She can`t walk anymore! Well, maybe a little, but very poorly...

Here are some pics. First pics are from the older girl i also bought. She a beauty and loving her new home...!
She is light-brown with a grey topping or something like that. Truly amazing if you ask me!

And here`s my young girl who now has problems walking... Please please some advise...

I'd let her swim a lot, swimming stregthens leg muscles and will help alot

Her feet and legs look fine. She cannot put much weight on one leg, so she limps. Badly. But it doesn't look broken or anything. But maybe she had a little accident at nighttime. Because Monday she was fine and the next morning she limped. At first a little but it got worse during the day. In the evening she hardly couldn't walk anymore. I keep her safe now in the bench. She was out a few times today and walked a little, but very poorly. And after a few feet is finisht.

Thanks Buck! It's almost nighttime here, but she will swim first thing tomorrow!
Hi muskuslove, your new ducks are gorgeous, please remove bands from their legs they can get embedded very easily. Your young one may needs some B Complex vitamins with Niacin in them. some ducklings seem to need more than others so i'd get her started on some or if you can't get that, just some brewers yeast sprinkled on her feed each morning 1 tab per cup of feed, or niacin "plain" about 250 mgs since she isn't a tiny duckling mixed into her water daily that's 1 gal of water. If she has an injury then rest with water therapy is good also. Good to see you back on the Scovy thread. Even if an injury only vitamin therapy along with rest and water therapy will help heal.

I was going to say similar, a possible deficiency?
