very nice, are you going to cover the top with netting or tarps to keep out climbing preds? you also have to think about diggers and those that can reach inside the fencing and grab like raccoons. will they have an enclosed house that can be locked up at night? make sure they have plenty of ventilation in it, and I'd put 3'hard ware cloth all around out side to prevent anything from being able to reach in an grab a duck. with a skit of hardware cloth reaching out from the bottom and weighted down or dug into the ground about a ft. alot of work but so much better not to find dead ducks.

we put a 1x12 board up on edge to keep coons from reaching in

if it was me i would add plywood to one end so there was some kind of wind break too

looks good so far

when will the ducks be added to it?

I plan on covering the end with the wood and will have a solid top as well. The mesh around the bottom is a good idea, thanks. I was hoping to finish today but due to my lack of an engineering degree my load of lumber was not enough. Lol. Will play with what I have left and have to wait till this week to get more supplies.

I was also hoping that the fact that it is 5ft wide that the raccoons don't attack en mass and have 3ft long arms. This is Texas however, so we shall see.
