Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Back when we had 2 roosters on the yard anything tiny got snatched right out of the yard and had to be kept in pens. Now we have 4 roosters. I have a little sebright mix that is teeny tiny and has been running around the yard for almost a month now. It's no bigger than the ducklings. So hopefully the ducklings will be ok. :( I'm just preparing for the worst.

They were out in the duck puddle without their mom yesterday. They can walk right out. The pigs made that puddle so they can walk in and out of it. It's shallow enough even the babies can stand in it. We've also lowered the water level in the kiddie pool in case the babies happen to get in there and can't get out. So at least they can stand up in it.

I have 3 scovies!!! I can't tell if they're male or female though. :-/ They're awesome birds. & mine like to come knock on my door at meal times. Just so I don't forget.

Well our mama muscovy is being a good mama. She still has all 8 babies this morning. So she didn't lose any yesterday. I was preparing for the worst. She's still pretty mad at me for trying to put her in a pen, but she's taking good care of the babies

Your drakes will be larger than females and the females make trilling noises where the drakes will huff and hiss. They are beautiful.

Where do they stay at night? I am glad to hear she made it through the day with them but night time is really bad for predators and she really can't protect them at all.

Congratulations on the successful hatches:jumpy   If anyone has them I'm sure it would be @learycow
.    I'm asking $8 for my ducklings but that's because I don't really care if I sell them.  At least not right now.  After chating with @2crazyflockers
I've  decided I want to keep them to see how they feather out. I had 20 from 24 eggs from my white hen Blanche hatch and  I have two blue pieds sitting.  One on 13 and the other on 20.  It's going to be wild around here for awhile:weee Good luck selling yours.
:yiipchick yaaayyy!

I hope your having better days.

x2  Take a good look at the remaining eggs when you move them.  If they have not internally pipped (either candle or listen for little peeps) they probably are not going to hatch.  :fl moving everyone.

Awwwh:love
Thanx ren! Much better!! How's things your way? Have something to show you I thought of you immediately... Not sure if its sepia or not but its a color I've not had before!!! :fl
