Wow. What great pictures. I can never tell at that age.

Thank you so much! She is very expressive and full of life. I love capturing my pets' personalities. I always just hope for girls and watch for the signs. I have had all girls so far for my mini flock.

What do you all think? Girl? Three weeks old yesterday and just had some tail feathers erupt today! I noticed the pins a few days ago. Beautiful dark chocolate coloured feathers.
Pics are from her first bath. She was too scared last week. My fav is her obviously looking so pleased with herself in the bowl.

Hi all the muscovies owners! I put up a thread about the egg laying capacities of the muscovies. As 3 people put more than 240 eggs a year I changed the poll to include the better laying ducks. Did you add your egg production, or change it if my poll was not complete yet?

You will have to wait a little longer to know for sure if she's a girl unless she was vent sexed or you know the parents colors.

She was not vent sexed. I adopted her when she was 5 days old so it was too late. I was told she would be a chocolate muscovy. Her feathers are all coming in brown aside from a patch behind her neck I suspect will be white. Around what age should I know for sure? I am wondering if I will have a 12 lb mini dino stalking me to perch in my hair....
