I can't find the thread where I asked about muscovy colors and genetics, so I started a new one. Last year I bought "chocolate" ducklings that turned out black. Both their parents were chocolate, so that was a mystery. I then asked if I could get chocolate of of them and was told no. Well today one of the black & white hens hatched out a clutch. The father was blue. I got 3 colors of ducklings, black, blue, & chocolate! I am very happily surprised!
first clutch is due in a week!
