Mushroom foragers

Would love to see black chanterelles.

These were just glowing on the forest floor. So easy to find. Love this time of year for mushrooms. Need to get out and do more searching


I think the blacks are called “black trumpets”... I found a few 2years ago. They are more tender and light than chanterelles.. like comparing a pancake to a crepe.

The ones she brought back were dried, like they had been dehydrated. I don’t know much about mushrooms so I don’t how her family processed them. For the Alfredo: Butter, heavy cream, puff ball powder and pieces, along with some sliced baby Bella’s, salt and pepper. That’s all you need!
