Mushrooms

Hello there,
Is anyone out there growing mushrooms (eating not hallucinogens

) ?
I have had one feeble, non-productive attempt in the past, but I want to try again next year. I have my eye on a couple of soft maple trees, I know where to get my spawn, any tips/suggestions for growing shiitake, oyster & wine caps??
Would love to hear from any shroom growers.............Sue

Shitake take a live oak limb 4" round, cut it, drill holes in, put your spore in the holes then plug the hole, with a piece of wax. Lean it in the shade where it gets some water and protected from drying winds, start harvesting the next season.

There are a few companies out there, but I use www.fieldforest.net. They have a wide variety of spores, helpful catalog with lots of useful tips & suggestions, Sue
