Mute swans

    is it possible to keep a pair of mute swans with out pond? pool if so how big?deep? there is some for sale on craigslist $850 for 3 year old mated pair is this good price?

    No, their body weight is too much for them to carry on land all the time. Swans spend more than 80% of their lives on water for that reason. They can certainly walk on land and my male walks all the way up to the barn when I'm feeding but he's not off the pond long.
