I have a new coop that is very secure and draft free. I got my first chicks on Wednesday. The setup is 18" brooder guard with two red brooder lights (one for backup). They are doing very well so far. When I come in at 5:00 am they are not all congragated under the lights. They are disbursd as they should be and the temps have been around freezing each morning. I think this is going to work out fine.
