The first 2 look like the same Mutt but they aren't, they are actually cousins. The first ones Mother is the sister to the 2nd ones father. They were both bred to the same breed. Both are 3/4 Dorkings 1/4 Red Ranger. And I ate their Uncles.

Some might say he is a naked Neck but in reality he just carries one Naked Neck Gene. He is Half Naked Neck 1/4 Ayam Cemani and 1/4 Red Ranger, BTW he is also in my Avatar, he is the Grey one on the left.

All of these are either successful attempts at meat birds or failures but all are mixed breeds. Some just a simple cross others carry the genetics of multiple breeds. The last one beautiful but camera shy, she hides when she sees me taking pictures. The picture doesn't do her justice. Her brother is the grey/Silver meat bird in my avatar. So I suspect her meat color may be the same. As far as being a meat bird she is a failure.
The first 2 are attempts at making a Fibro black meat bird. They are going to take a little more work before I am happy with their results.
The Mostly white ones (incomplete columbian pattern with red leakage) is a cross between a Silver Grey Dorking and a Red Ranger. I ate all but one of their brothers. Really good size and flavor. Rapid growth rate. They turned out to be prolific layers of large white/tinted/Cream eggs. I bred them back to a Dorking Rooster to improve my line of Dorking's. Currently I am crossing them with Half Naked Neck Half Red Rangers and seeing how well those do.

Love that autosomal red. Must be from the red ranger.

What a cool coloring. What did his naked neck parent look like?

Here is the Rooster I am breeding over the Dorking x Red Rangers

Here is the picture of the opposite which I am also breeding, The above roosters sister and the above Hens brother. Although all of them are half Red Ranger I used 2 different Red Rangers so they are not half Brother/Sisters being mated... Hopefully it helps to provide more vigor.... I will be crossing the 2 sets of offspring too

Now the Parents of what i am breeding, not exactly mixed breeds but why not show the parents of the mixed Breeds.

The Naked Neck patriarch, he is recessive white so his offspring took on the Red Ranger pattern (Red Columbian similar to NH Red).. As breed down the line I will be getting Recessive whites which is a goal. White Meat birds dress out nicer for those who pluck. Not that it matters to me since I skin the ones I eat.

Here is the Silver Grey Dorking Patriarch with the Red Ranger he bred with. His breasts are meatier than they look. All his offspring that I processed had a much deeper breast than the rest of the crossings.

The picture I left out was the reverse cross of the first picture, the brother of the first pictures hens with the sisters of the first pictures roosters. I am tired and made a similar mistake my first attempt and I am not deleting it and doing it over to get it right when all the pictures are accessible.
