My 26 week old Blue Andalusia Splash seems much less mature than her flock.

She has colored legs and white earlobes.
The 'splash' andalusian in this thread does, too.

She also has the same comb size at 8 months.
From what I can tell, the comb is smaller on splash Andalusians.

A splash Andalusian at 5 month from MPC which is basically the same stock as Meyers. Can you see the earlobe color on yours?

That's not splash. That is a just really poor quaility blue.

Do you get brown eggs or colored eggs?
Can I get a full body pic?
We get tan and brown eggs. Have 2 sex link and 3RIR and 1 Dominique

Well I guess wait and see. What are feeding? Keeping her in a grower will help her mature.

No she was a splash without the big splash marks. They are all Andalusian, and she wasn't that poor quality.

Hopefully she will start here after the winter solstice. Generally fall or pullets maturing under decreasing light will take long to mature and start laying, which isn't always a bad thing. I prefer slower maturity. Those maturing in spring can begin laying too early and have problems because of it.

Comforting to think I dont have to worry at this time. The others were 5 months old when they started. Hope thats not too young. Thanks for sharing your wisdom.

5 months is a good age. 4 months can be a bit early in my opinion but I'm not looking for production birds. You are welcome. :)
