My 26 week old Blue Andalusia Splash seems much less mature than her flock.

Ohhh what a pretty hen! Her comb looks like Etta's. I'm told it may get large when she starts laying. Will keep you posted! (Ok now I want a splash Orp too...lol!)
Awwww, thank you so much! :)

It's my belief Etta's comb will enlarge after she begins laying, too. Looking foward to an update. :D

I wouldn't mind having one myself....but Splash Marans is enough for now.
BTW, she is named Etta Blue as a tribute to Etta James - queen of the Blues.
What a lovely, clever name! :love

UPDATE: Etta has finally started the submission squating that tells me my little girl is growing up! No eggs yet. But she is calming down and only acts like a roadrunner sometimes,so we are optimistic that we'll find that white egg amongst all the brown ones pretty soon. After all...she's only 7 months old!

I'm still waiting on a few to start too. I'd say about half of my May batch is laying, the rest,,,:idunno

My little pullet has finally layed her first egg! Nice way to bring in the new year!

And thanks to everyone for good advice. Her comb started turning bright pink when I started the 20% flock feeder. Now her waddles and comb are red and much larger. Thanks and Happy New year!
