Update on Zane: the news is not good. After a few days of no obvious infection, it began building up again. This is after over two weeks on antibiotics, at the suggestion of Dr. Brown. I felt Zane was at "decision time", but when I told Doc what Zane's status was, he asked if he could send me one more strong antibiotic to give Zane for 7 days to see if we can knock out the infection once and for all. I told him we'd try it; after all, we've been doing this for five months now, more than half of Zane's life. What's one more week, right? We are heating the joint and doing some gentle stretching therapy and will continue to do that and this last round of antibiotics. And I do mean the last round. Pray that this one works. Zane cannot live this way for an indefinite period. Its no life for a proud rooster who only wants to look out for his girls and run with the flock.

I just loooooove yard sales. That is a good deal. You can't hardly find those old style play pens anymore.
I don't know about chickens, but I read that parrots are not supposed to be closer than 20 foot from the TV, it damages there eyes. Just in case Zane wants to catch a movie.

Crud Cyn, I'm so sorry this infection has reared its ugly head again. I fervently hope this new med works.
