That's funny, because one of my Buff Orps, Sunny, used to honk when she was younger! Now she makes the barking noise and cackles alot. I wonder if this is a Buff Orp trait?

I have a teeny silver seabright hen that is the worlds noisiest thing! She squawks and cackles and screams and paces AAALLL day long, ever since she started laying she is just a huge chatterbox.

Maybe she is outgrowing it. I just assumed it was related to the heat. I guess I'll find out next summer!
