My Anconas! Pic-heavy ;-)

I hatched my first ducks this spring, in April & in May. I love them - they're such fun! And now our pond isn't full of algae. YAY!
I've got 12 total - but 4 drakes will be rehomed, and I will be left with 6 hens & 2 drakes.

Almost everyone, except three of the whites

Sugar Bowl my lavender hen - and my black drake Bert in back

Jagopodgi - blue drake - and Bessie, black hen

Two of the brown hens, Sligo and Bramlet

Hatched 3 whites in the first batch, and one in the second!

They spend the day on the pond, and apparently have friends over.

We also have a small pond overrun with algae...will ducks really help make it cleaner? I want ducks next year anyway, but that would be a huge bonus

I think they're such a neat breed - I'm loving how friendly they are, and each hatch is going to be such fun, to see what colors and patterns come out. I really haven't seen much in the way of colored Anconas here in the northeast, so I'm pretty happy and am looking forward to the spring!

Im in australia so I havent seen that kind of wildlife or environment
