My apologies to the WalMart shoppers...

Remember back in the day when if there were more than 3 people in line, they would open another line? And everything was made in America? Those were the days.

That made me giggle.

I can SO relate! Been there, done that! I HATE to wait in line!

Well at least ppl didn't have to wait on "The Coupon Woman".

I swear she drives me crazy!

Last time I got behind her at Walmart I had ice cream. She pulls out about a million coupons....

The line behind me kept growing and my ice cream kept melting.

She pulls out her coupons and the clerk has to zero in on the exp. date to make sure they were still good. Some had run out at 12:00 AM. the day before. It's 3:00 in the morning so she tells the clerk she's been there for hours so the clerk takes pity on her and subtracts those from her bill as well as the coupons that were in date.

My ice cream has melted all I can stand so I take it back to the freezer and go home defeated.

At least you apologize. Just wish the coupon woman lived somewhere away from here.

I consider Walmart to be levels 3, 4, 5, and 7 of Dante's Inferno. I hate it. I will go anywhere else before I go to Walmart. In fact, when my sister asked what I wanted for my birthday and I mentioned a few things, she said "So what you really want is for me to go to Walmart for you for your birthday." Yup. It was all the little stupid piddling things that you can only get at Walmart. I had put them all off so I wouldn't have to go there.
Every time I am in a Walmart the clerks know NOTHING about their products, they have about a third of the cashiers that they need, the DIY checkout lanes aren't working and I get behind the coupon lady who wants to pay with coins. I can feel my blood pressure skyrocketing. It just is never worth the trip. There is some sort of stupidity force field around each and every Walmart that makes the most ridiculous things happen. Even dumb things happen to normal people in Walmart. It is hades. Ugg.

I hate waiting too, especially if I'm in a rush.
But it was an honest mistake. I can't say I haven't made any of those at the checkout before.
Even more embarassing when I was the one scanning the items...

Well I think the mistake was made by the clerk. The problem was then complicated by the store. The clerk should have known how to place the order in suspension, and the supervisor should have been available to make their part go quickly. It is the supervisor's job to be available quickly for this problem. The supervisor should have gotten other lines open the moment the problem became apparent. It is not the fault of the of the customer. The store needs to be aware that things like this happen. And do more frequently than most customers are aware of.
