My arm as a nest?

That's a MUCH better present than the mice and moles that cats bring as presents.

She is darling. My chicks follow me around and come to their name but are not old enough to lay. I can only hope.

What an adorable story! Thanks for sharing it. We never had a chicken that would do that, but we had 2 ducks. When my daughters were young, I got each of them a pet duckling. We went down to the hatchery and got them when they were still in the "drying tray" of the incubator. They each picked one out and I made a sling for them. They carried the duckling with them all day. (We homeschooled, so they were at home.) At night, the ducklings went into a box next to their beds. The ducks imprinted on the girls. Duckie and Puddles were quite the pair. They both laid eggs for us, often when sitting in a lap. Duckie was killed by a coyote when her "mommy" was a teen and Puddles was badly injured. Puddles then lived inside where she could mend. It was winter here in Wisconsin, so she could not go out until spring. She healed well. Her "mommy" was married and came back to visit her often by the time she died of old age - in my bathtub!

Lol that's really cool! I can honestly say that has never happened to me. Saves you a trip to the coop though!
