My baby chick injured ...

Ms Lucky is going to the vet at 2:30 today. I can't take her not being able to walk - we will find out what's going on shortly!!

Sad news ... Dr. Grim said she'd never walk again, she had a strained tendon ... we could do surgery but it'd cost a lot ...

So she's went to Chicky Heaven. We are very sad right now. My daughter (12 yrs) can't stop crying.

We have more chickens sitting right now though, will have more babies in about 18 days.

We have 14 new baby chicks ... but one seems ill ...? All of a sudden. Not sure the momma kicked it or what. We have it inside in a warm blanket -- chirps some, but just doesn't seem well.

I hate sad stuff.

Is there a way to put a peep down without having to be cruel? I think this baby peep has been hurt and it's suffering. Just wondering what you would do in this case. I already took one to the vet ... I didn't want to do that again.

i would give it some time before you uthenize. But people on here say they crack the neck. OR chop the head off. Sounds vulgar i know.
