My baby duck

I have a baby pekin duck that hatched yesterday and i saw today that it's one eye is closed . Not sure why was wondering if anyone could help me out.

It could just have something irritating the eye. A light mist of Vetericyn spray or saline solution is what I would try.

And I would carefully - watching it closely - let it dip its head in some lukewarm water with a little apple cider vinegar. Like, a quarter teaspoon in a pint of water. But don't leave the water with the duckling. Just to wash its face.
