Oh my...you poor dear. squirrels will growl when agitated as well as making that sort of ticking noise.

A squirrel feeder makes for GREAT entertainment for a high prey drive dog. Just put the feeder on a tree isolated from other trees so the squirrels will have to travel on the ground to get there. My dog will lay in wait for HOURS to catch the little suckers.

I have raised 4 squirrels. There not so bad, if they like you

If they don't, well you better run fast....... Some of them are really mean, even though they have been hand raised.

My dad got attacked by a squirrel and he too, screamed like a woman!

Very funny thread. Glad it wasn't a possum. Those things are nasty.

My tree squirrel has spent the past month in my very tall pine tree pulling the pinecones apart for the nuts. Then it throws the top part of the pinecone at my dogs laying in wait for hours at the base of the tree for squirrel Hors D'Oeuvres. Their still waiting.
