I saw one person at a show...actually using white out on their birds tail....I mean...WOW. The point of a show is to put the best birds in top placings...so...if you gotta cover it up...LOL...don't bother! hahaha

If you weren't so far away, I'd ship my remaining pullet to you. I sure as heck can't use her! lol

Such nice conformation on him though...I LOVE the pullets!

Actually, neither is allowed. You can't clip feathers either.

OK, mystery solved. He has NO black feathers in his tail. I moved them around and everything to check for sure. There are so many stripes and in the low light of the rainy day we are having today and yesterday it looks like he has black but he has none.
I just took these.

Yeah..the judge immediately DQed the guy with the white out. Clipping feathers isn't allowed either, but plucking feathers is allowed...but frowned upon. UNLESS they are hock feathers. Especially in all Asiatic and boot-legged breeds. Feathers plucked from those birds could be considered Vulture hocks...and a DQ.

YAYAYAYAY! No black feathers!!! YAY!!!

I like my little RIRs but now that I have 7 Barred Rocks, the little Rhode Island Reds should find a new home. I have soooo many chickens right. I need to get down to only a few breeds and stick with that.
I think I will be selling my Bantam Phoenix as well.

I only have a pair of them.
