My Best friend oliver is very sick prayer request

Hope Oliver is still hanging in there. I got a call from the vet late Christmas day and Ditto seemed a little better, although I don't really hold out much hope; his lab values were off the charts. Every day he's still with us is a good day, I guess. Haven't heard from the vet yet today. We're blessed to have a husband and wife team of vets who are good and reasonably priced, thank God.
Praying for you and for Oliver. You're right; they're our babies.

to the kitties and you.

I talked to my vet this afternoon about Ditto's outlook, which is not rosy. I'm with you; I think making them comfortable and keeping them as happy as possible is the best you can do. Oliver is lucky to have a good owner. I'm still praying for him, and for you.

Update:
Mr. Oliver is eating good for now and using the bathroom for few times everyday please keep your fingures crossed

Did they show you how to give him fluids? We had a cat here that was diagnosed with kidney failure and they were going to teach me how to 'flush' her by giving fluids at home regularly (I think it was under the skin). She was being treated there to get her more stable first and had a fatal stroke, so we didn't do it, but they said it can extend their life and certainly makes them more comfortable to have that extra fluid washing things out. I hope Oliver continues to get better.

sending up prayers for Oliver & Ditto -- our "fids -- furred or feathered kids" hold very special places in our hearts, don't they? *hugs to Omran and SallyF*

ETA: I know you're probably already doing this, but do anything you can to get extra water/fluids into Oliver -- mix a little water with the food, invest in one of the Drinkwell type water fountains (It was AMAZING how much fresher the water stayed, and how much more water my cats drank once I got one of the Drinkwell fountains -- I'd never be without one again!) offer him the water from tuna, maybe buy a small bottle of clam juice, etc. Fluids are the key to keeping kidney function from declining any faster than it already may be impaired.
