My brother, and others, forgot my birthday,,, again

Happy Belated Birthday! Missed your thread til now. As Hollymh said, those of us with holiday birthdays (mine's 12/25) are often not remembered. I minded when I was a kid, but the older I get, the less it bothers me

A number of years ago, a group of women I worked with decided that it was too hard to have my birthday luncheon in December ("there's just so much going on in December") so they decided to have it in September, since no one else in the group had a birthday that month

Can you guess how I felt about that???

"Yeah, just change my birthday for your convenience."

Wished they had just forgotten it!

Heck I should of remembered your birthday and mine were only a day or two apart (mine was 5/23)...lol
If I would of been down in NM I would of taken you out to eat....Maybe even to "China Star"...lol seeings how that's one of the only places I know how to get to.(Thanks to you and Steven...lol)

Happy belated Birthday to you too Run-a-Muck! I should have remembered yours since we talked about it that day too!
My son's birthday is Nov. 23 and every few years it lands on Thanksgiving, in those years Thanksgiving is celebrated either the week before or after so my son can have his day.
Blossom those women were just "moronesses", that's a word a made up because a female moron is worse than a male moron because we are supposed to know better!

Well 3 and half days, then Monday and I'm off for the Summer. My birthday present to myself is going to be a whole week of metal detecting!

I have to tell this... My father and sister share the same birthday ( So does my husband, but he came along later LOL)
A few years back, I was on the phone with my sister. I said " I sent dad a card- did you? Today is his birthday"

It didn't hit me till a week later why she sounded so confused when she replied.

Happy Birthday!!!!! My mom forgot my birthday from 17 to 37,...she finally started remembering a few years ago,..so I know how you feel, but I finally decided it had no reflection on me, it's their issue. I forgot hers one year and she called me and gave me a rant and I calmly said You know I am so sorry, I can't believe I forgot (there was so much going on in my life at that time) I apologize, it was terrible of me,..but contrarily do you realize you let my birthday laps for 20 years, not to mention christmas and all the kids bdays,.. kind of a shocker for her,....I sent her flowers straight out the next day because that's who I am. Maybe you should give them a call and say, that hurts. Perhaps they will never forget again,..and if they do it tells you alot about who they are.
