My chick is sick!!!!!

a friend of mine has a Cornish rock chick who is around 3 weeks old, she purchased her at my local feed store. i a m worried because she has pink under her eyes, she breathes really hard, and always avoids the other chicks...

please let me know so i can tell my friend!!

Is this a Cornish Cross chick? Has she been restricting feed?

yes she is a Cornish cross... i friend has separated her so she wont get the others sick... and she i don't know ill have to ask... she says she is eating a lot faster and she eats a lot.

Well, that's what Cornish X do. They are meant to reach butchering age around 6-8 weeks old. They tend to have issues as a result, usually heart and leg problems. Some of the problems can be held off by restricting feed.

Get a pic if you can...it's hard to say without seeing.
Cornish X have sparse feathering so it could just be the skin showing thru more than on the others?
