Fyi.... In people, garlic boosts the immune system and peppers clear stuffed sinuses and is vasodialative so it increases blood flow and speeds healing. I guess it works on birds too.

I should also note that my birds were at the first day of a runny beak and not all had it. They were not very sick. I had some antibiotics, but Brigit was very sick and i used them on her.

So, I thought i would show you my hillbilly engineering skills....

I call this the "broody hut". Its made from a homemade doghouse on a wagon base. I lifted the top and hinged it for easy access to eggs. It has 3 nest boxes in it.

On the left is the coop with the door i added. On the right the broody box and center is the run.

The plywood is a makeshift door so i can clean the run.

My friend was helping my move the broody hut into place

I am very proud of my creation. They free range most days but they have space if weather is icky.

My hill is all rock and digging holes isnt an option unless you have a backhoe... So i used bricks for the cornerpost.
